Instructions for authors

The NZPPS publishes original research papers on all aspects of biology, ecology and control of weeds, vertebrate and invertebrate pests, and pathogens and beneficial micro-organisms in agriculture, horticulture forestry and natural ecosystems.

Papers should report on completed work or substantial interim results and the research should be current and highly relevant to plant protection today. All written papers must be orally presented at the annual conference. Poster presentations will be printed as extended abstracts only.

Annual timetable

15 FebruaryDeadline for submission of paper abstracts to the editor.
15 AprilDeadline for submission of papers to the editor.
15 MayDeadline for poster titles and abstracts to the editor.
Extended deadline for submission of papers containing data collected after 15 February (only with prior approval for a limited number of papers).

Submission of papers

Authors must submit the abstract for their paper to the editor. by 15 February. The full paper must be submitted by 15 April so that there is sufficient time to publish it before the conference. The only exception is for papers utilising data collected after 15 February, in which case the extended deadline of 15 May may apply.

Posters

Authors wishing to present posters should submit a 240 word abstract to the editor by 15 May.
